A RIDGEBACK PUPPY ?

• Have a good look at US Ridgeback Club's site - they've many interesting articles about getting a puppy. Maybe the articles will help you decide ?
• Also try to visit as many breeders/owners as you can, this way you can ask the questions which interests you the most and see different type of ridgies.
• Information in Finnish can be found from RR Club of Finland's site as well from this site.
• And of course - you are always welcome and visit our dogs and us !

A PUPPY FROM US ?

• We carefully select the puppy owners, but this doesn't mean that you have to be an expert with dogs - just some normal common sense and an idea what to do with the puppy.
• We want to get to know the people well, before selling a puppy by meeting them or if that is not possible then by email (only people living abroad).
• We don't want to sell a ridgie to be only couch potato, because this way it'll get bored and your apartment will be renewed while you are away. Ridgie is a good couch potato, but it also need a lot to do. Long walks are not the key here, they need many things to think - this way your ridgie has a "tired" mind while you are absent.
• Most important thing for ridgeback's future home is that it'll get lots of love. They love being around people as family members, they cannot be separated from people. They should always be full members of the family.
• We're rather show-orientated, but this does not mean that your future ridgie must go to the shows, it's up to you. We'd like to do many things with our ridgies, but we just don't have enough time for that.

• The puppies are raised in their own room...or actually they stay there the first 3 weeks and then they have much more room around. They can stay in all other rooms except our bedroom and my comp room so they will already have some experience of daily routines and sure they have possibilities to play with all our adult dogs (carefully). Also summer puppies will have a pin outside to enjoy the sun. Naturally our puppies have experience with both sexes as Pasi also takes care of the puppies.
• All bitches (as well the males) used for breeding are healthy with good hips and elbows, allergy free, have good temperaments.
• The puppy will be checked by vetenarian, will be ID-marked and de-wormed (and of course registered).
• You'll get complete feeding instructions and also lot's of written help how to raise a ridgeback. The booklet also includes the list of Harjaselän puppy owners, so you have many new friends around you.
• You also get honest information of your pups litter mates, also later on. 
• You will have a lifetime backup with your ridgie as we will be here if there would be any problems. We will help as good as we can to give the needed answers. Sure we cannot answer all the questions, but there is always someone who can.
• We will organize 1-2 puppy meetings every year. This way it is easier to follow how the puppies are doing.
• If you are interested of showing, you are free to travel with us or we can show your dog.
• We have almost 9 yrs of experience among ridgies. I've taken many courses about breeding, dogs and taken parts to many seminars. I was also a board member of RR club for few years. I also passed a ring secretary course, but I find it more interesting to show dogs than to work in the ring.
